DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF.

Every so often I find myself doing this very thing. Dwelling on my past mistakes and wishing I could go back in time to change them.

Never once before had I thought of this as being a source of pride getting in the way. The book makes such a profound statement.

"Thinking that you should live an error-free life is symptomatic of pride."

Not that I will begin dismissing all my mistakes as no big deal. Instead I will try to become more aware of how it will become a source of blessing, humbling me and giving me empathy for others.

"And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose"  - Romans 8:28

Praise God that He can work everything out for His good. What might be meant for evil, He can turn to good. What we screw up in our lives, He can use for good.

Our God is a redeeming god!
